Plant Sales provide Health & Wholeness for Children in Haiti & the Dominican Republic

A special thank you goes out to everyone who came out to St.Jacobs Market in May and June for ICC’s annual charity plant sale.  This event took place on three Saturday in May and June and raised roughly $20,000 to support ICC’s programs in the Dominican Republic and Haiti.  This annual event has been taking place for roughly 25years and has generated a significant following of garden enthusiast and horticulturalist from across Ontario. The success of this event can be seen by the line ups of people waiting for flowers, plants and trees to come off of the Mori Nurseries truck at 6am. Many of the supporters wait all year for this sale to replenish their beautiful gardens, and to help mothers and children in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.  This event would not have been possible if it were not for the faithful support of Leno Mori, his family and staff, who donate their time and truck loads of plants, trees and flowers which are sold at unbeatable prices three Saturdays a year.  The truck loads of beautiful and exotic plants, flowers and trees are donated to ICC and all of the money generated goes towards supporting ICC Canada’s programs/projects.  If you didn’t have a chance to come out this year, be sure to mark the dates down in your calendar for next year or contact the ICC Canada office in the spring for further details.  For more information on Mori Nurseries check out their website at http://www.morinurseries.com
