Remembering the Haiti Earthquake

This week, we marked the 1-year anniversary since the earthquake that devastated Haiti on January 12, 2010. Our staff and friends in Haiti gathered on Wednesday at Grace Children’s Hospital to remember and honor the great loss, as well as look forward to a promising future.
According to our staff in the Relief and Reconstruction office, the service was heartfelt and had participants from several parts of the hospital. One speaker was Guitho Sejourne of the Psychology department at Grace Children’s Hospital, spoke about the very real effects of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, and encouraged the staff as many continue to struggle with the emotional effects of the earthquake. Grace continues to provide psychological support for all staff. Other speakers included Robenson Lucceus from ICC Haiti’s public relations department, as well as staff from the Relief and Reconstruction office.
You can read the whole story on the R&R website here.
Please continue to keep our brothers and sisters in Haiti in your prayers.
