International Child Care is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Rudolph Magloire, MD-OBGYN to the position of Director General for ICC/Haiti. Dr. Rudolph will direct all of International Child Care's programs and services throughout Haiti including Grace Children's Hospital, the National Tuberculosis programs and Community Health Development projects.
Dr. Rudolph, who obtained his degree from the Independent National University of Mexico, brings over 20 years of experience to this broad and demanding position. His avid advocacy for family health began in the 1980s when he became the medical director for a hospital dedicated to women and children in Bon Repos, Haiti. Over the years Dr. Rudolph has worked closely with USAID as a project manager, medical advisor and reproductive health specialist. Dr. Rudolph also spent over four years as a national consultant for the Maternal Mortality Reduction Initiative funded by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and World Health Organization (WHO) in Haiti.
In addition to his extensive experience in reproductive health - including maternal health, STDs, family planning and HIV/AIDS - Dr. Rudolph has a wealth of knowledge regarding child survival as well as tuberculosis and malaria prevention. Dr. Rudolph currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the University Hospital of Haiti.
