Praise - Yaeris Martinez

Yaeris' behavior problems required professional help so he was referred to a neurologist and psychiatrist through the Community Based Rehabilitation program. Yaeris is now taking prescription medicine and his behavior has improved significantly. He is still receiving individual support at the school for special education, but Yaeris' teacher said he will soon be ready to be part of the regular class. Please keepYaeris and his family in your prayers.

Prayer Request - Felix Manuel Ureña Baret

Felix is a three-year old boy registered in the Community Based Rehabilitation program. He began to have seizures at age 1 and since then has had up to 20 seizures in one day. The seizures have resulted in a paralysis on one side of his body and a loss of motor abilities. Felix comes from a very poor family and on many occasions there is nothing to eat at home, so he is also severely malnourished. Some time ago, his father abandoned his mother and four children, leaving them with no financial support. ICC has has helped the family with food, medical care, home based physical rehabilitation and money for transportation. Unfortunately, Felix's mother, Maria, has frequently used the money intended for medication and transportation to gamble. She has also sold home furnishings and used the money for gambling. At this time, Felix is living with his grandmother. Thanks to the CBR program Felix can utter some words and is able to walk. If he had better general health he would make much more progress. Please pray for Felix's health and for a change of attitude in his mother.
