New Patients Admitted to Grace

New Patient

More new patients were admitted to the newly reconstructed inpatient ward at Grace Children’s Hospital this week. A boy named Vincent was admitted. He is extremely undernourished and has an alarmingly low weight, especially for a thirteen year old. Nevertheless, when he was presented with his first meal at the hospital, he burst into tears. When the nurse asked him what was wrong, he said that instead of the bowl of soup he was being offered, he really just wanted Cornflakes and milk! The nurse struck a deal with him; if he ate his lunch, he could have Cornflakes and milk for an afternoon snack. Vincent is in good spirits and receiving excellent care at Grace Children’s Hospital; thanks to your support, he will continue to grow stronger each day.
