New Mobile Library at Grace

The United Methodist Women have supplied Grace Children’s Hospital with an important resource, a mobile library.  The International Council of Nurses/MSD Nursing Mobile Library is an innovative resource bringing up-to-date health information to nurses working in remote areas of developing countries. The Library contains approximately 90 nursing and health publications including books, manuals, and fact sheets.  The books are housed in a durable trunk, which protects the material from dust, water, insects, and harsh conditions. This allows the library to be easily transported to remote areas even over difficult terrain.

The mobile library will offer medical personnel vital training that would otherwise not be available.  The addition to Grace Children’s Hospital by the United Methodist Women will help staff provide better care and ultimately greatly impact the health of Haiti.
