Health in the Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic does not face all the same issues as does Haiti. Though tied together by geography, these independent nations each have unique challenges. Haiti may be the poorest nation in the western hemisphere, but the needs of the people in the Dominican Republic are still great, and there is much work to do.
